So finally we got the first Design Museum of the city. The Triennale of Milano – which claims a collection of 1600 famous pieces made by important italian designers – presents for the first time a permanent exhibition curated and directed by Joseph Grima. It opened on tuesday 9 April 2019 and it’s just the first episode of a really big project which aim to set out all the Triennale Design Collection. 

The first exhibition is made by object designed between 1946 and 1981 by important names as Mario Bellini, Ettore Sottsass, the Castiglioni brothers, Marco Zanuso, Vico Magistretti, Superstudio, Alessandro Mendini and many others. This exhibition is an exciting journey where you can find the iconic objects of the house where you grew up, or even your grandparents one (the old televisions, the radios, the chairs …). A very simple exhibition to make the design protagonist of the museum.
We just have to wait for future projects!
