3D Printed Bar by Caracol Studio
In occasion of MDW 2019, Caracol Studio designed the first bar completely 3D printed in the heart of Isola Design District, on the first floor of Stecca 3.0. This is not only an installation printed with new technology but also an example of sustainable design because it’s made using PLA IngeoTM, a 100% natural-origin biopolymer, recovered from industrial processing residues of the company FLO S.p.a.

COS by Arthur Mamou-Mani
For the 2019 edition, COS asked French architect Arthur Mamou-Mani to participate and he designed Conifera, a 3D printed architectural installation created from seven hundred interlocking modular bio-bricks, 3D printed in a mix of wood and bioplastic. Situated in Milan’s 16th century Palazzo Isimbardi, the geometry of Conifera is inspired by the motif of the Palace, through the courtyard to the tiles.

Aqua. Leonardo’s Vision.
This evocative installation is a homage to Leonardo da Vinci and is a site-specific immersive experience in Conca dell’Incoronata. This place will be covered over with an architectural insert in the form of a great expanse of water, on the edge of which a huge LED screen will become a window onto a future Milan, showing a skyline that changes according to the time of day.
