His works are characterized by a minimalist style, wide backgrounds of bright colours, stylized and direct strokes.

Ben Wiseman, the illustrator of Kentucky who today lives and works in Brooklyn, is known worldwide for his magazine covers such as TIME, GQ, Wired, Newsweek, The New York Times, Le Monde and countless others.

Never focused on details, Wiseman doesn’t even define the faces of his subjects because what interests him about the final result is the strength of the content that, often, is obtained by eliminating everything that can appear obvious.

With a great interest in pictorial art, the illustrator is often inspired by past paintings, copying their composition but revisiting them in a modern way, without forgetting even one of the typical vices of our society.

His works reveal reality through the use of a pungent and funny humor.
