American artist Alyson Shotz travels around the world with her project Mirror Fence installing unusual fences made exclusively of mirrors.
Since 2003, in fact, she has been travelling with her atypical fences and raising questions about the actual need of barriers and how they restrain us in our desire for freedom.
Fences that, depending on the environment in which they are located, have been accepted very favourably, especially in the neighbourhoods that are surrounded by them for security reasons.
Despite this, they have remained only as temporary installations, because they were judged to be risky for men and children.
