When just over a year ago Teddy Santis was named creative director of New Balance Made in USA, raise your hand if you couldn’t wait to see the Aimé Leon Dore founder’s work on his first New Balance collection. The day has finally arrived and for all of us NB fans, a new era has opened.

After giving us a little taste last month with a teaser of the collection, Santis revealed through his Instagram account the first New Balance Made in USA collection he has created.

In addition to extensive offerings from a sportswear standpoint, the collection includes some iconic silhouettes like the 990v1, 992v2 and 990v3.

According to reports from WWD, the first drop will be divided into three different categories: “Elevated Legacy”, which will see classic New Balance colorways used in alternative ways; “Uniform Staple“, a selection of everyday staples but improved in every aspect; and “Quickstrike”, innovative shades and materials used in major New Balance models.

“As a brand, New Balance has always been drawn to nontraditional and independent creators, which is what makes Teddy such a perfect fit for New Balance Made in the USA. Not only does he have an incredibly authentic and passionate tie to New Balance, but he’s uniquely positioned to help preserve the history of Made, which is the foundation of the brand, while simultaneously guiding its evolution through his unique design sensibility”, said Chris Davis, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of merchandising at New Balance.

The first part of the drop is scheduled for April 28 and will be available online at New Balance’s website.
