The Nike Air Rift is coming back

Nike relaunches an absolute cult silhouette. The Air Rift returns in the OG Black/White and Total White colorways.

Launched on the market in 1996, they were the first Nike sneakers designed to facilitate the natural movement of the foot, a kind of anticipation of what the Portland company would later do with the Free line.

The Nike Air Rift is inspired by the strength and at the same time the lightness of the gait of Kenyan runners who often trained without wearing any type of shoe, they ran barefoot.

The model over the years has become a classic both for its minimal and stripped down upper and for the Tabi toe, inspired by the Great Rift Valley fault in Kenya.

For this Summer 2021, Nike Sportswear is reintroducing the Air Rift in its OG colorways.

Open mesh upper that leaves but upper half of the foot fully exposed, covering only the toes and an adjustable Velcro strap ensures a great and stable fit.
An EVA foam midsole completes the design of the sneaker.

The Nike Air Rift Black/White and Total White are already available on the site of the Japanese retailer atmos and short could be released globally. We will keep you updated.
