Nike has just unveiled the brand new GO FlyEase, the company’s first hands-free sneaker, meaning it doesn’t need your hands to be worn as it can be laced or unlaced thanks to the movement of your foot.

This new Nike GO FlyEase is built on a bistable hinge structure, which allows it to be stable precisely both when the sneaker is fully open and when it is laced and closed around the foot.

Other elements that characterize this brand new sneaker from Nike are Kickstand Heel, which mimics the classic way we all take off our shoes when we don’t feel like unlacing them but without compromising the heel, a “Diving Board” that creates a unique footbed and a tension band to keep the shoe in the optimal position at all times.

The new Nike GO FlyEase is designed for both athletes and people in constant motion. Speaking about the design of the shoe, fencing champion Bebe Vio said, “It usually takes me a long time to put on and lace up my shoes. With the Nike GO FlyEase, I just have to put my feet on and jump in. The shoes are a new kind of technology, not only for athletes but also for everyday life”.

The Nike GO FlyEase will be released on February 15th exclusively for certain Nike members only, after that it will then have its own worldwide release during 2021.
