During this quarantine period, Crosby’s design studio created a sofa made solely out of Nike augmented reality clothing.
“We created this digital sofa to make the design accessible to everyone, encouraging everyone to stay at home, but still be able to experience the design. Soon we will share with you how you can visit our Air Max Day Sofa without leaving home.”
The Air Max Day Sofa imagines dozens of” Nike puffer jackets collapsed together to form a circular section. The cushions use various shades of phosphorescent green, decorated with the white swoosh logo of the sportswear company and could never miss the famous slogan “Just Do It“.
The studio, led by designer Harry Nuriev, plans to release a custom Instagram Augmented Reality (AR) filter to allow users to digitally insert and test the Air Max Day Sofa inside their homes during this quarantine period.
Crosby Studio designed the sofa virtually built to coincide with the annual celebration of the Nike Air Max 1 shoe, which was first released on March 26, 1987.
The brightly colored sofa from Crosby studio is still only in augmented reality, who knows if Nike will decide to make it for real.
