Björk has always been pushing beyond the boundaries of the constant research for new possible combinations of music, technology and visual art. Her path was born with the first surreal experimental videos of Human Behavior and Venus As A Boy, taken from her second album Debut, continues with Army Of Me and Hyperballad and then explode with Homogenic and Biophilia.
With her Vulnicura album, the Icelandic singer has decided to explore the endless opportunities offered by virtual reality. Last April was released the video in VR of her new single Notget, directed by Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones in the wake of Black Lake, Stonemilker and Family.
In the Notget VR version, we see Björk’s virtual avatar transform into a bizarre aquatic creature that sings and dance while her body slowly changes shape and color. Recently, however, the artist has returned to collaborate with Du Preez and Thornton Jones for a new official version of the video.
