Can Dagarslani is an architect based in Istanbul, but as a photographer he is a real natural talent. Influenced by his travels, by cinema and by the photography of Ren Hang, of which we have previously spoken here, he decides to start his visual research and to dedicate himself exclusively to portraiture.

And here we can enter into his world of questions, which often do not find answers, made to others and to our ego.
There are bodies that twine like thoughts, looks and small-great gestures of empathy, pain, and madness. This is the ordinary madness, which leads us slowly to lose our head, as in one of his shots, to fight against what destroy us and makes us less lucid and controlled. The composition obsessively symmetrical tends to the pursuit of perfection, but clashes against the human weaknesses of his characters who try not to get out of the lines and inevitably find themselves stripped of their deepest emotions, in front of the lens of the camera.
