Nowadays, in the world of architecture it seems that everything is possible, every day a new project is created that challenges the laws of gravity or climate, some are entirely built with innovative materials or simply out of the ordinary. Despite this, all these buildings are static, because it is impossible to make one that moves. Or at least it was until a few days ago. 

In a Polish residential district, architect Robert Konieczny has created the Quadrant House, a house made up of two modules that overlap and intersect, with a minimalist and essential style. 

Although its appearance clearly differs from the villas that surround it, for now there seems to be nothing special. In fact, the Quadrant House, like all the other houses, has a day zone divided by the night zone, a normal room, a normal kitchen and a normal courtyard. But the beauty comes with what the architect calls a terrace. 

A third smaller module, positioned between the other two, can be used as an annex, which moves according to the position of the sun, so as to exploit natural light in the best possible way. Its movement system was inspired by the device that astronauts use to trace the position of the stars and is designed to stop if it encounters an obstacle in its path.
