Raf Simons and Fred Perry continue the journey into subcultures

The partnership between Belgian designer Raf Simons and British brand Fred Perry has been going on for a long time. This ongoing collaboration has led the two players to constantly update and improve their offerings year after year.  What has always characterized the collaboration between Raf Simons and Fred Perry has been the designer’s ability to draw on the enormous legacy of youth subcultures that the British brand still symbolizes.

In this latest joint venture, Simons continues along these lines by reinterpreting a series of classic Fred Perry silhouettes through the use of safety pins, badges, pins and patches that vividly recall punk culture.

In particular, the garments of this collaboration are also characterized by the artwork of Antwerp-based graphic artist Tom Tosseyn, inspired by flyers and posters of the concerts, as if to reiterate even more explicitly what were the references that have guided the two players in the construction of the collection.

Oversized shirts, V-neck sweaters, a fishtail parka with a removable lining, an oversized trench coat with belt, are the main pieces of the collaboration but of course there is no shortage of polo shirts, Fred Perry’s true iconic item, both short-sleeved and long-sleeved, available in slim-fit and oversized versions.

The entire Raf Simons x Fred Perry collection is available on the British brand’s webstore
