Reset: the 14 special British Vogue covers dedicated to nature

There are no models, no clothes and the glossy world that has made Vogue one of the most famous fashion and culture magazines in the world.
For the August 2020 issue, Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief at British Vogue, commissioned some of the UK’s greatest artists and photographers to create original and striking images of beautiful landscapes.

Reset, this is the name given to the special issue, is a project aimed at reuniting man with nature, a relationship that has been damaged by the pandemic and lockdowns that have been implemented worldwide.

The covers, but also “All Across the Land“, the 20-page editorial that you can read inside the issue, want to highlight how at the center of everything there is our planet, beautiful and poignant, with which we must learn to live together in a different way.

The familiar patterns of our life have been broken, the future is unknowable, and we are all in search of signs and wonders, of reassurance, of hope, of things that make sense to us when everything seems desolate. We must begin to look at nature with new eyes“. Commented English writer and naturalist Helen Macdonald.

The artists involved in the project are David Hockney, Nadine Ijewere, Tim Walker, Nick Knight, Lubaina Himid, Mert Alas, David Sims, Marcus Piggott, Jamie Hawkesworth, Juergen Teller, Alasdair McLellan, Martin Parr, David Bailey and Craig McDean and their original artwork will be auctioned to raise funds for the COVID-19 emergency.
