The Designer Who Is Inspired By Street Art

ROHAM SHAMEKH

Can design and street art go hand in hand? Perhaps this pair is a bit hard to imagine, and yet designer and artist Roham Shamekh (1995) has done it, and we quite like the result. We met him during Milan Design Week with an installation at Palazzo Litta. The contrast between the elegance of the ultra-decorated room and Shamekh’s street and urban style won us over. With the Terminator project, the Dubai-based Iranian born designer codifies a new style. Refined and industrial at the same time. On the one hand, the floral element that recurs often in his production, on the other hand, the use of spray canister with fluorescent and iridescent colors. In short, an eccentric combination that does not go unnoticed. Here are our favorite projects.
