There’s a trail shoe designed for ultramarathoners, forged in the hands of the engineers at Salomon and their S/LAB, and built to take on any terrain. Born in 2013 to meet the needs of ultra-distance athletes, the shoe now returns in a new collaboration with JJJJound, the Canadian brand known for its essential and thoughtful approach that we know well.

The collaboration between Salomon and JJJJound unfolds in two colorways that reflect different yet complementary identities. The first leans toward a bolder aesthetic, with strong color combinations—blue, yellow, and black—designed for those who like to pair classic pieces with technical details that stand out. The second, more understated, features a palette of greys and blacks inspired directly by Salomon’s archive, designed to easily adapt to a contemporary wardrobe.

Releasing on August 7th, both versions retain all the technical specifications that have made the XT-6 a benchmark for those seeking performance and comfort: aggressive outsole tread, agileCHASSIS™ structure, quickLACE™ system, and lightweight yet durable materials. Also present are the subtle details that mark the collaboration, such as the woven label on the tongue and the small red accents that discreetly but clearly sign the project.

In short, JJJJound doesn’t radically change the shoe we know—it interprets it. Their reinterpretation of the XT-6 moves between function and everyday style, enhancing a sneaker that remains relevant without chasing trends.
