The reversible jacket that defies the rules of design

Spiewak, the historic outerwear brand founded in Brooklyn in 1904, has worked with the Japanese label Beautiful People to create a piece that challenges the rules of design: the Double-End Jacket. It’s a 4-in-1 that transforms and reinvents itself thanks to a fully reversible construction and the option to be worn inside out.

Each side of the Double-End Jacket pays homage to an archival Spiewak icon — from the G-8 WEP Flight Jacket to the firefighters’ jacket, from the police jacket to the aviation model — reinterpreted through Beautiful People’s contemporary lens.

The result is a rounded, fluid silhouette, enhanced by functional details such as the packable hood and the removable patch featuring Spiewak’s historic sheep. The choice of materials — from military nylon to cotton-nylon taffeta — ensures lightness, durability, and water-repellent protection without sacrificing style.

Available in two colorways, red and black, the Double-End Jacket will retail for €1,460 on the official spiewak1904.com website, at the WP Stores in Bologna and Florence, and at a selection of retailers in Japan and across Europe. A collaboration that, besides pushing the boundaries of design, also proves how New York heritage and Japanese experimentation can seamlessly merge in a single garment — one able to tell the story of both the past and the future of design.
