Stone Island and New Balance have announced their collaboration that will only be the beginning of a long-term partnership.
Through their Instagram channels, the two cultural drivers have stated how this joint venture, about which very little is known yet, will develop.
The common vision made of sharing similar values regarding research and functionality in their respective areas of expertise was the spark that started it all. In the coming years, the two brands will develop a series of sneakers that will be released a little at a time, going beyond the trends of the moment by giving space for creativity.
Stone Island president Carlo Rivetti said: “There are only a limited number of brands that can be referred to as iconic. Stone Island and New Balance have shown that they are of this breed. To exchange concepts and ideas by opening doors to each other’s R&D teams, with the aim to create a great sound product, is exciting and the greatest message we can jointly convey to our audiences”.
The first Stone Island x New Balance drop is scheduled for late 2021, we’ll keep you updated as soon as there’s any news.
