Super7 and Saucony have worked together for a Universal Monsters themed capsule.
The Universal Monsters are the protagonists of famous horror and science fiction feature films produced by Universal between 1923 and 1956.
Some of the most famous characters in this film series include: Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein and The Mummy. It is precisely the latter that have been the subject of four “monstrous” interpretations of Jazz Original.
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Homage to the monster of the black lagoon, these Jazz Original seem to come directly from the depths of the Amazon jungle: the tone-on-tone details with the swamp green upper recall the scales of aquatic animals while the red laces, just like the mouth of the Monster, are a flash of color that lights up the silhouette. The translucent green sole completes the whole look for a truly “monstrous” touch.
Frankenstein
Monster green shades for the Frankenstein model characterized by seams that seem to join, just like the sutures of the famous character, the upper to the gray panels of the toe cap and heel.
The Bride of Frankenstein
Every monster needs his better half! Ivory and pale green panels are stitched together in the homage to Frankenstein’s wife characterized by an embroidery on the heel that recalls her typical hairstyle. But these shoes are much more than the sum of their parts sewn together: laces and phosphorescent midsole come to life when a beam of light hits them.
The Mummy

These Jazz Origina,l inspired by a movie classic, feature a color palette in shades of white and gray with red accents reminiscent of the color of blood. Just like the character in the movie, the upper is made with a fabric that resembles a bandage.
Each version features a monster logo label on the tongue, the word “monster” written in Japanese on the heel, a custom “Super7 x Saucony” insole and exclusive themed packaging.
