TAKK is a Spanish architectural studio that recently created the interiors of a splendid cave in Madrid, not surprisingly the name of the project is “Grotto”. The idea from which the team of architects started is that of the function of forms, in this case, the geological ones of the place understood more as “hidden underground landscape”. As the study states:

“We are also setting a discussion with the history of architecture or with our society’s symbolic imaginary given to a certain color or material”.

The cave, a place present in nature, has been conceived on purely artificial elements also because space is mainly intended for the sailing of Swiss watches and also for collecting places, conferences, workshops, and debates. The structure is based on six domes, organized around a central pillar; while the light filters through a patterned screen inserted in the building, projecting floral shadows and delicate reflections inside.
