From 20 to 24 January 2022 Paris will host the new edition of Maison&Objet, the fair that will display creations, design pieces and installations by studios, collectives and freelance designers from all over the world. Among these, the participation of teamLab is already making a lot of noise.
The international art collective made up of artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects who create installations in which art mixes with science, technology and the natural world, will bring the interactive digital installation Resonating Microcosms of Life – Solidified Light Color.
In an area of the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre will be placed dozens and dozens of ovoid-shaped elements ready to change color, brightness and to emit sounds based on the movements of people who can walk next to them, touch them and move them.

In a certain sense, the ovoids reflect the world around them: when one of them is pushed by a person or moved by the wind, the ovoid falls back and then returns to its initial position. Its movement, however, will affect all the ovoids around it, causing a chain of light and sound changes.
Resonating Microcosms of Life – Solidified Light Color is based on 5 fundamental concepts: the relationship with people, the relationship with natural phenomena, physicality, continuity and new colors.
TeamLab’s installation will be on view from January 20 to 24 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
