It’s been exactly 50 years since the United Nations established Earth Day.
It all began in the 1960s, when the 35th President of the United States of America, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and later Senator Gaylord Nelson, began their battle to establish Mother Earth Day. Then in 1969, peace activist John McConnell, at a UNESCO conference in San Francisco, reiterated the idea, which was then sanctioned in a proclamation signed by McConnell himself and the then Secretary General of the United Nations, U Thant.

For the occasion, The North Face gives ample space to its sustainability division, Renewed, presenting its Remade Collection.

This collection consists of unique upcycled items, made from materials from jackets, trousers or other materials, returned, damaged or defective, which have been hygienized and customized by The Renewal Workshop.
