The North Face, together with National Geographic, is once again working on clothing by reusing plastic containers from three U.S. national parks: Great Smoky Mountains, Yosemite and Grand Teton.

As for the last collection, dating back to 2018, the brand has created tees, long sleeves and sweatshirts that read “Waste is Over“. The mission is to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste on the earth’s soles, on the other hand there is a willingness to carry out a maneuver of awareness to induce people to recycle.

More than 8 billion tonnes of plastic have been produced since 1950 and that number is set to increase to 34 billion tonnes by 2050. In 2015, it is estimated that only 9% of plastics were recycled. The world is fighting a disposable plastic crisis and this is the time to act”.

In addition, The North Face, for every product sold in the line, will donate a dollar to the National Park Foundation, to support projects dedicated to sustainability.
