For the latest chapter in the long-standing collaboration between Vans and Slam Jam, the two brands join forces once again, this time drawing inspiration from another icon of Californian streetwear: the legendary Los Angeles-based brand FUCT. The Vans x Slam Jam by FUCT collection retraces the underground history and roots of the three brands involved, giving rise to a subversive collection of iconic Vans silhouettes.

Founded in 1990 by Los Angeles artist Erik Brunetti, FUCT (Friends U Can’t Trust) is a brand that has been strongly anti-establishment from the start, born out of youthful rebellion against creative authority. Over the years, FUCT has become a flagbearer for promoting creative freedom of expression, distancing itself from passing trends and staying true to its DNA rooted in counterculture.

The collection, consisting of five models designed by FUCT, represents the brand’s first footwear capsule. At the heart of the line are two classic Vans silhouettes: the LX Old Skool Reissue 36 and the LX Authentic Reissue 44. Each model is crafted with Vans’ new premium construction, offering an improved shape and greater comfort, paying homage to FUCT’s legendary design history. The collection is completed with the signature styles of Slam Jam and Vans.

Among the standout details are co-branded insoles, crystallized soles, foxing tape with Slam Jam’s mantra “Chaos is Order,” the embossed FUCT logo on the heel counter, and an inner label with the phrase “Steal this Shoe.” These elements blend with FUCT’s irreverent and rebellious style, giving the collection a strong and distinctive identity.

The campaign, in line with FUCT’s renowned creative direction, will accompany the collection, along with a special event to be held in Milan during Fashion Week in September 2024. The collection will be available exclusively on FUCT.com starting September 13, followed by a global launch on slamjam.com and otw.vans.com on September 19.
