Vans and Travis Barker Are Back Together with a New Punk Capsule

Travis Barker and Vans share a history spanning decades. “My first pair of shoes was a pair of Vans,” says the drummer of Blink-182, who grew up in Fontana, California, immersed in skate, BMX and punk culture. Today, the collaboration between the two continues with a second capsule collection.

At the heart of the collection is the Vans x Travis Barker Old Skool, reinterpreted in a new white colourway featuring the “Dues Paid” emblem on the upper, a barbed wire motif along the foxing, canvas upper, cotton laces, and Travis Barker logo details on the heel and tongue. The apparel offering includes the slogans “Dues Paid” and “Self Made” applied in calligraphic style on sleeves and across the back of garments — two phrases that speak to Barker’s long journey through music and pop culture.

The campaign, shot by photographer Atiba Jefferson, draws inspiration from punk fanzine aesthetics and the DIY spirit that runs through the entire collection. The images, captured at an iconic music festival in Chicago and on the streets of Los Angeles, feature Barker alongside musicians, friends and fans including The Paradox, N8NOFACE, Tim Armstrong, Missy, and Dani Miller.

The collection will be available from 18 June on vans.com and at selected retail locations. Vans Family members will have exclusive early access, with the opportunity to purchase limited quantities one day ahead of the official launch.
