Not intended to be just a store, the new space designed just like a real home for the local and international community of design enthusiasts. Vero is a meeting point as well as an elegant collector of design objects capable of narrating the latest aesthetic and design trends in contemporary design.
The store that unveils the new collections of the Made in Italy brand founded in 2022 by Pasquale Apollonio opens its doors today, Feb. 16, at 3 Via Felice Casati in Milan. The intention is to question and challenge handcrafted serial production, giving space to everyday objects that interact with an environment with attention to every detail, to tell a story of everyday habits.
The forms of the store evoke a domestic environment, rethinking the sizes of volumes and materials used. The doormat that covers the entire floor is archetypal of the domestic threshold, the metal finishes and shapes of other elements inserted into the space refer to the image of the closet, which is transformed into a display surface. The large yellow lacquered multifunctional countertop, on the other hand, projects visitors into sharing environments such as those in the kitchen.
The idea of collaboration, ideation, and collective passion is central to the project, as Simona Flacco and Riccardo Crenna of Simple Flair, Vero’s creative directors, also explain: “We wanted to transform Vero’s philosophy into a welcoming and familiar space. This desire guided the entire project and was realized in the choice of colors, materials and shapes that speak of the brand’s research.”
New space to be discovered, a place for research and insight into the function of contemporary design, in the heart of Porta Venezia.
