It is a celebration of history, culture, art, architecture and spirit through distinct design that highlights the art of the past and present to create a unique experience for guests.
We are talking about Galleria Vik Milano which has 89 uniquely designed rooms and suites, beautifully decorated by 40 artists from all over the world, which enhance the rich artistic heritage of Milan.
The 40 artists were given carte blanche, each of them worked on a room with a project specially designed for the occasion.
Some decided to furnish the rooms with their own works, while others created a site-specific work on wallpaper or walls.
“Each room is a site-specific project specially designed by each artist for the hotel rooms: the name of the artist, hand painted on the doors together with the room number, reminds the visitor that the stay at Galleria Vik Milano is a real immersive experience for the client, taking the appearance of a reconnaissance among the different trends on the Italian scene”.
And that’s not all, because the spaces of the beautiful Milanese hotel are designed not only to welcome its customers. In room 210 there will be an exhibition activity offering a new exhibition every month, for the whole month of November it will be possible to admire the art of Tomoko Nagao.
