British designer Morag Myerscough created a colorful installation in Paris where the phrase “A new now” stands out, a popular way of referring to the effects of the pandemic.
Myerscough’s beautiful and colorful installation aims to encourage people to find the positive sides and possible changes that can come from the current situation, rather than trying to predict and try to stop the effects it may have in our future.
“I have always felt strongly that we need art in all its forms to challenge, stimulate and transport us out of everyday life, but at this particular time it is essential for our well-being”.

The artwork was commissioned by the 6M3 Collective of Paris as part of the “Embellish Paris” initiative, which aims to create a series of works that draw attention to the forgotten spaces of the city, redeveloping them and giving them new life.
The installation looks like a lighthouse, composed of different shapes and colors, that grows from the ground and rises eight meters, ending with a neon inscription “A new now”, designed to ignite the imagination of passers-by and to give a message of hope and optimism.
