adidas Originals and Brain Dead Disrupt Tennis Club Aesthetics

After the success of their reimagined Stan Smith, adidas Originals and Brain Dead are back with another collaboration—this time a full Spring/Summer 2025 collection centered around the Forest Hills, a classic silhouette long associated with the world of tennis. Rooted in tennis culture, the project is flipped on its head in true Brain Dead fashion. The adidas Originals x Brain Dead SS25 collection will drop on April 25th via Brain Dead’s official website, adidas.com, and select adidas stores. Let’s take a closer look.

From Forest Hills to Apparel

The starting point is the Forest Hills, a sneaker introduced in 1976 and designed to be the lightest of its time—just 250 grams—with a ventilation system inspired by aerospace engineering. Now, that same silhouette is reimagined with a bold new look: hairy suede uppers, leather stripes, and co-branded details in unmistakable Brain Dead style.

«We want to challenge the traditional imagery associated with tennis and country club culture,» reads the press release. And indeed, the result is a collection that rewrites the rules without forgetting its origins.

But this isn’t just about sneakers. The capsule also includes a full apparel line that reinterprets tennis club aesthetics with a more graphic, grittier, urban spirit. The collection features t-shirts, crewnecks, and track tops covered in prints, alongside polos, shorts, and sweatpants that maintain a creative tension between sports heritage and visual experimentation.
