Aimé Leon Dore, the brand founded by Teddy Santis in Queens, NY, has renovated its flagship at 224 Mulberry St., obviously in the Big Apple, and will reopen its doors to the public today.
ALD represents, at least to this writer, the ultimate expression of contemporary aesthetics in reference to real fashion, the kind far removed from the catwalks and the opulence of high fashion.
After the latest collaboration with New Balance, the presentation of Spring/Summer 2023, and the latest chapter in the partnership with Porsche, Aimé Leon Dore has given his gorgeous New York store a makeover.
The old white walls have given way to gorgeous brown wood in a muted tone, taking the store’s aesthetic to the next level with a cozy, warm, and luxurious atmosphere.
New artwork graces the interior of the store, there is a new area dedicated to music with an entire wall of vinyl and a section dedicated instead to DJs. What hasn’t changed are the old televisions broadcasting old NBA games, the wall of deflated basketballs by artist Tyrrell Winston, and the iconic 1985 Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago” hanging over a lamp.
Also peeping inside the store is a dazzling Anime Leon Dore version of a Porsche 356, part of the collabo with the Stuttgart automaker.

In short, if you’re in New York starting today and for the next few months, a trip to 224 Mulberry St, to Aimé Leon Dore’s new flagship is definitely a must.
