For his latest project, The Alpha Project, the urban artist Rone started from a fundamental assumption: street art is an ephemeral form of art, a passing one; the time, with its incessant urban rhythm, consumes, transforms and layering it.

To emphasize this fact, Rone decided to paint the interior surfaces of an abandoned paper factory in Melbourne, unusable and destined for demolition. A project carried out in secret in the space for three months.

The result is a series of 5 big women portraits. Faces that appear to give away the rubble of the building for the last moment of fleeting beauty.

And that at the same time play on the contrasts, the delicate nature of the portraits and the deterioration of the building.

“The temporariness is what makes it contemporary, of the moment, and more important or special”
