Korean beauty giant Amorepacific’s cube-shaped headquarters is been designed by architect David Chipperfield and his studio.
The building is in the center of Seoul, South Korea, has a central void that runs through the building, allowing daylight to filter through to the interiors of the offices. David Chipperfield Studio decided to clad the building in brise-soleil that deflect sunlight and gives the pale façade a soft and hazy quality.
The main characteristic of this project are the three large voids on the facades that open the building to the surrounding city and serve as platforms for three hanging gardens. They are like a real oasis, in the middle of offices, with trees and artificial lakes.
