Mireya Gartland is a San Francisco based photographer, art director, and filmmaker. In her images, she captures “elementary emotions” such as: vulnerability, innocence, balance, and power. Her work is characterized by a strong opposition between soft and organic figures within a graphics and expansive environment.
What interests her is to be able to explore self-awareness, to highlight human vulnerability and capture it in the heart of an environment.
The spaces are delimited places and are represented with harmonious pastel shades and symmetrical geometries, perfect: the man has always been able to adapt to any type of environment, to make his home.
