The first time the Arctic Bath was nominated was in 2010 when the Treehotel, designed by the same builders, opened. Since then, three years passed before the project was really taken over by Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi until early 2018 when there was talk of an opening scheduled for the winter of the same year. Unfortunately, the construction of the Arctic Bath was not finished at the time either. 

Finally, on 15 January, the hotel officially opened its doors. 

The building has managed to make people talk about itself for so many years thanks to a project that blends architecture with nature, both from a structural and aesthetic point of view. 

Arriving on the banks of the Lule River, within the urban area of Harads in Sweden, you will see a building with a circular plan that resembles a bird’s nest resting on the water. In addition to this, the hotel also has a series of cabins, some built on land, 62 square meters, and others on the water, 24 square meters. Inside them, you will be able to enjoy a luxurious stay with every comfort at your disposal, but a common area with a restaurant, a spa, and a sauna has also been designed. In any case, the best comfort you can enjoy remains the landscape in which the Arctic Bath is immersed.
