adidas and AVAVAV present the Superfinger Superstar, original sneakers featuring removable four-finger rubber gloves that transform into handy mini bags. After debuting at Milan Fashion Week 2024 (remember that show?), these reimagined versions of the iconic Superstar are now hitting the market, bringing an innovative twist to the classic design.
Under the creative direction of Beate Karlsson, AVAVAV designed the removable rubber tips, crafted from full-grain leather with adjustable details using industrial straps. Beyond serving as versatile accessories for other shoes, the gloves can hold small items like lipsticks or eyeliners, adding a functional element to the design. During the runway show, the sneakers even proved practical for running, all while maintaining their distinctive aesthetic.
The Adidas x AVAVAV Superfinger Superstar and the rest of the collection have been available since yesterday, November 21, 2024, on the official websites of both brands—merging experimental style with utility.
