Images and words become unique in Beatrice Santangelo‘s Progetto 40 which tells us about her personal quarantine. 

Progetto 40 is a photographic series in which the young photographer lays bare her body and with it her soul, the emotions and sensations that keep her company in these days of isolation. These are states of mind never experienced before, due to the unprecedented situation we are witnessing, and for this very reason, normal words are not enough to describe them. 

Beatrice has chosen, therefore, to accompany her black and white photographs which, through games of light and shadow, reveal the interiors of her room, of her house, with some untranslatable words taken from different languages. 

The final result is a universal story, in the chosen words, in their meanings and in the photographs we will find some of us, of the feelings we have and that keep us company.
