Loribelle, daughter of a Philippine mother and Yugoslav father, has lived in Australia since she was a child. Her condition as an immigrant pours on her canvases through a reflection on the meaning of space.

Space as a country in which one lives.
Space understood as hidden places or where to hide, for example, the corner of a house or under the bed.
Space understood as an empty canvas that offers a thousand possibilities. And it is in his works that the Australian artist finds himself, especially through portraits, of someone or simply imaginary. The faces made by Loribelle represent and contain all his worries, fixations, obsessions and anxieties.
