TOKiON the Store and AMKK have just released a capsule collection dedicated to one of the most acclaimed and influential anime of all time, Neon Genesis Evangelion, called “Evangelion and flowers”.
AMKK, led by Makoto Azuma and Shunsuke Shiinoki, has created a mini collection that mixes stunning bouquets of flowers and prints inspired by NGE.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a twenty-six-episode anime television series from 1995 – available on Netflix – produced by the Gainax studio and conceived, scripted and directed by the genius of Hideaki Anno.
Despite the fact that the basic series is the classic Japanese story with young high school students who drive large robots (mecha) – called Evangelion Units or EVA – against hostile and apparently non-terrestrial beings – the Angels in the series – the anime is characterized by the presence of numerous Kabbalistic, Jewish and biblical references, as well as by a deep psychological introspection of the characters, making it a landmark in the entire world of Japanese animation.
An animated tetralogy of the series, Rebuild of Evangelion, has also been realized. The film that closes the story definitively was released in Japan on March 8th, breaking the box office.
Just in the wake of the huge success of Evangelion: 3.0+1. 0 Thrice Upon a Time, the title of the fourth film in the tetralogy, TOKiON Store and AMKK have created a capsule collection called “Evangelion and flowers”, consisting of T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, slippers, bags and a bomber MA-1, all featuring floral graphics and images of the EVA-01 unit, the main robot of the series piloted by the protagonist, the fourteen-year-old Shinji Ikari, and other EVAs that appear in the series.
The capsule collection dedicated to Neon Genesis Evangelion by TOKiON the Store and AMKK is already available here.
