Carlota Guerrero and the naked beauty of women

Carlota Guerrero and the naked beauty of women

Simple beauty without censorship. That’s exactly how you could describe the art of Carlota Guerrero.

Born in Barcelona, Carlota is a self-taught artist and has been passionate about photography since she was a teenager. Over the years, the style of her shots has proved to be perfect for high fashion editorials, working for brands like Givenchy and Dior, for artistic performances, but also for advertising campaigns like The Force Is Female for Nike.

What has made the work of Spanish photographer known and appreciated internationally are her photographs that portray the beauty of female bodies. There are no veils, nothing hides the shapes of the bodies that are immortalized by Carlota’s lens.

The women portrayed represent their freedom, freedom to show themselves and their bodies, not because they are obliged to do so, but because they are free to do so.

Natali Do’s photography between fashion and surrealism

Natali Do’s photography between fashion and surrealism

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Photography

Natali Do is a Siberian photographer originally from Kurgan and currently living between Moscow and Hong Kong. Her works have been published in magazines like Numero and Vogue Russia, strongly focused on fashion, distinguished by originality and elegance.

Each shot is a mini story to tell, which takes on different colors, atmospheres, and styles: this makes Natali an eclectic and unique artist capable of shaping the medium as she wishes. Models with ethereal bodies and white skin tone are exalted by the composition that is always very accurate and dedicated to emphasizing the almost androgynous forms of the protagonists.

The Mother as a creator, Annie Wang’s project

The Mother as a creator, Annie Wang’s project

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Photography

The Mother as a creator is the personal project of Taiwanese artist Annie Wang who talks about motherhood and fights stereotypes.

“Motherhood is a long-term process with a complex weaving of experiences. This wholeness and complexity cannot be expressed solely by the generally accepted saccharine image of Mother and Child, nor by the other extreme”.

The woman is identified and classified as a mother, condemned inside the limits and identity imposed by society: every year Annie takes pictures of herself and her son, demonstrating how all the elements of her life are important to create always new points of view from which to observe the experience of motherhood. The entire work documents the change and various stages of growth, creating a “layered mother-child dialogue” for seventeen years.

Check out our gallery and Annie’s website here.

Air, Daniel Forero’s project made of balloons

Air, Daniel Forero’s project made of balloons

Claudia Fuggetti · 1 year ago · Photography

Daniel Forero is an art director who combines scenography and photography to create conceptual works with an artistic approach.

Air is the name of his latest project and talks about that precise moment of tension that precedes the balloon burst: you know it’s about to explode. Is it possible to represent this feeling so fleeting?

The artist has succeeded well, placing balloons between heavy blocks of stone and marble, positioned in such a way as to exert pressure and generate a sense of anxiety. The project can be interpreted from a psychological point of view, representing the state of tension to which we are subjected to everyday life, so the work takes on a conceptual character.

The unique humour of the minimalist photography of the Posternak twins

The unique humour of the minimalist photography of the Posternak twins

Giulia Guido · 1 year ago · Photography

Twins Tanya and Zhenya Posternak grew up in post-Soviet Kiev, they studied graphic design, and have always lived with the constant curiosity to find out what was outside their country, for decades isolated from the progress that invaded the West. Then, they moved to New York and the world was revealed to them.

Today, Posternaks are an emblem and reference point in the world of fashion photography.

Their style seems to be a mix of the two cultures that flow in their veins, the American one, open, uncensored, shocking, and the Soviet one, which hides, delicate and never aggressive. What is never missing in their work is the dimension of the game, which reveals an unusual sense of humor.

Tanya and Zhenya, who always work together, like to play with colors, different textures, and body shapes. What has characterized them over time is a type of framing of the close-ups, with a particular focus that manages to make the final result of a unique elegance, which then took the name of Posternak crop.

Discover their shots in our gallery and on their website.
