Created by Isaac Cordal, Cement Eclipses is a sculptural-photographic project that investigates the metamorphosis of the relationship between citizens and urban space.
Launched in 2006 with the aim of raising awareness among the inhabitants of some of the major European capitals about the risks caused by wild and indiscriminate overbuilding, this project aims to shake everyone’s conscience about the problem of environmental degradation in which many of our cities find themselves.

Sad concrete miniatures about 25 centimeters high blend into the streets and denounce the behavior of contemporary man.
Cement Eclipses criticizes the slow change in the role of the citizen, who is transforming from a vigorous individual into part of the urban furniture.
Thus Isaac transforms a puddle into a sea, a grate into a prison, a hole into a ravine. They are symbols of social disorientation and unbridled consumerism.

Cement Eclipses uses sculpture and photography to bear witness to the sad human condition in the world. Isaac Cordal’s is a unique project that demonstrates how art can bring us all closer to the beauty of nature.
