When we get lost between the pages of books, especially the ones we like, we imagine so intensely the places and characters described that we feel like they really exist. How many times have you wished that the protagonist of the story you were reading could become real, tangible?
Bethany Bickley decided to give a body to places and characters using the same pages of the books.

Bethany Bickley is a creative from Savannah, Georgia, who does illustration, but not only that. In fact, following her on Instagram and taking a tour of her site you can see that great space is dedicated to her “Book Sculptures“.

These are small paper sculptures that come to life from the pages of books and that, of course, are inspired by the story in question.

For example, from “The Bell Jar” by Sylvia Plath comes out a small female figure trapped under a real glass bell; from John Tate Appleby’s novel “Suffolk Summer” comes out a cathedral with a rose garden; and again, from the cover of the book “Conscience of a Conservative: A Rejection of Destructive Politics and a Return to Principle” by Republican Senator Jeff Flake comes out a fist ready to strike. Every detail of these works of paper art is taken care of.
