Chosen as the winners of the international competition “Festival des Cabanes”, “Chapel of tears” is the latest creation of Atelier Poem by Alice Cecchini and Roman Joliy.

The idea of this festival revolves around the theme of the “Cabanes”, of the hut, it aims to raise awareness of the whole community of the French municipalities of the Sources du Lac d’Annecy on the theme of the great territory and how to settle in it.

“The hut, as a constructed building, represents only a point of view, a milestone, a punctuation, a construction that allows its host who gives the possibility to place himself within a larger landscape. It is a camera room oriented toward a chosen viewpoint.”

So the two designers of Atelier Poem created a unique but extremely simple project that managed to grab the coveted first place.

Chapel of tears” looks like a tall and narrow parallelepiped, cut lengthwise in the central part. A sort of meditation chapel where you can be in close contact with nature, immersed in the beauty of the French territory, among streams and waterfalls.

A construction made with only one material: spruce, supplied by a local sawmill, so as not to affect in any way the fauna and the surrounding landscape.

A mystical place, where you can surely relax, where you can find your own dimension, here are the photos of the latest creation of Alice Cecchini and Roman Joliy.
