In the practice of Ces XC, a multidisciplinary artist, DJ, and creative director based in Istanbul, seemingly distant worlds coexist. His photographs and AI-generated visuals narrate Turkish street life, fashion, and music, blending traditional aesthetics with futuristic imagery. «I focus on blending today’s brands or iconic objects with memories that have a place in our past. More specifically, I create storytelling through Turkish cultural elements as well as images from world cultures,» he tells us.

The result is imagery that seems to come from a parallel universe: chrome scooters speeding through Eminönü, sacred architecture infused with digital signs, Nike-branded aunties embodying the collision between collective memory and global culture. The strength of his work lies in this ability to make visible the tension between past and present, between the local and the international, carrying forward a reflection on the future of creativity in urban spaces.

Alongside photography and visuals, Ces XC builds a sonic extension of his world through DJ sets that range from Baile to Afro and into experimental, bass-driven sounds. This ongoing exploration confirms his role as a connector of subcultures and identities, capable of shaping authentic narratives that resonate globally. Unsurprisingly, his projects have appeared in exhibitions, international magazines, and art publications, helping to feed a contemporary dialogue on nostalgia, belonging, and imagination.
