In 2015, Flore Maquin started making portraits in digital painting. She wanted to explore this world and because she liked to paint and draw on paper, she wanted to merge everything with graphics. Working on the computer puts her at ease, she works at a fast pace with the advantage that she can make mistakes and start endlessly, which is quite practical unlike painting on canvas.
Her favourite fields are cinema, cinema and pop culture.
The French artist draws inspiration from everything around her, paintings, drawings, but also from her library full of books of film posters, vinyl, illustrations, drawings and photos.

Flore Maquin became passionate about art and graphics thanks to her mother, today with her portraits she enchants the eyes of every film enthusiast. “I make portraits of characters from films I loved. It’s a way for me to say “I liked that character or that film.“
She likes to tell something through her drawings. She tries to adapt to the mood of the film and doesn’t just make a drawn portrait. From Jim Carrey to Uma Thurman to Joaquin Phoenix, Flore Maquin subtracts the main character from every movie and TV series to transform him or her with unique colors and details.
