Change is Possible and art can light the way.

Every evening at 8:20 p.m. sharp in the famous Piccadilly Circus square, advertising for a few minutes gives way to a digital work of art.
A project created by artist Josef O’Connor, entitled CIRCA.

CIRCA aims to bring art to the street, overcoming the current restrictions adopted to contain the pandemic. The aim is to project works and interventions of different artists, without filters, famous or emerging.

The project started as early as October 1, several artists have already contributed, among them STIK, we told you about it here.
The first to contribute was Ai Weiwei, who throughout October with his videos reflected on the global threat caused by the pandemic.

In November it was the turn of the Californian artist Cauleen Smith, who with her Covid Manifesta projected a series of messages throughout the month.

Eddie Peake will instead occupy the Piccadilly Lights, the historic advertising screen in the famous square in the center of the city throughout the month of December.

On the site you can also buy the works seen and watch live streaming all the events of CIRCA.
