Sometimes you become aware of people who seem the incarnation of the artistic vein: Vasjen Katro is one of them.

The Visual Designer from Tirana, known also as Baugasm, is able to satisfy whoever has a particular attention to the aesthetic, always searching for constant motivation. Inspired by electronic music, when he was fourteen years old he started to create album covers for his own music, ending up falling in love with the graphic world. Today, this love is continuously evolving.

Daily, for over two years, he publishes in his IG profile a poster made up of vibrant colors and distorted typography. This combination, sometimes even animated, makes the scrolling unstoppable, generating an addicting eye-orgasm.

Vasjen Katro is also the author of less than one-minute videos that can be defined as visual poetry. His videos flow into pathos thanks to his extreme sensitivity and gentleness. His willingness to refer to another type of communication is evident, it’s different from what we know about Baugasm: it’s a need more intimate, innermost.

Feelings are the protagonists of these creations, expressed through a minimalist and magnetic style at the same time; passion and the charming Elisa Flicka, instead, represent the fil rouge. We are dealing with a manifest that praises expressivity, with art contained in sixty seconds.

In his last works published on his personal profile, we can recognize the mixture of these two art forms. A reality with warm tones and an apocalyptical atmosphere is described: Elisa is always his muse, but other subjects share the objective with her. Among them, there are suspended cars and men with protective suits.

The survivors of a near end are represented. And art, surely, is with them.
