The extremely satisfying sculptures of Claire Lindner

The web and social media are full of them, we are talking about videos and photos catalogued in the “satisfying” category. These images, whether static or in motion, are a real treat for the eyes.
Previously we talked, for example, about Andreas Wannerstedt’s series of animations entitled Oddly Satisfying. These were short clips made entirely in digital where the focus was all on textures, so much so that the viewer felt like touching the image.
Now, thanks to Claire Lindner, we can finally satisfy our desire to feel these surfaces.

Claire Lindner is a French artist and sculptor who lives and works in Languedoc-Roussillon. During a trip to Canada, in an area far from the cities and surrounded by forest, she became completely immersed in a landscape made up of moss, plants, water and roots and was inspired by these elements for her artistic production.

Today, Claire Lindner moulds clay and ceramics in a unique way, giving her sculptures a natural and “soft” feel. Looking at her creations, which range from small works to keep on the shelf to large site-specific installations, we have the feeling that they still have to dry and solidify.
Their appearance is extremely satisfying and the desire to touch them with our fingers is strong.

Follow her on Instagram to discover all her work.
