The aspect that struck us most about Costanza Musto‘s shots is the banality of everyday life. It has happened to everyone at least once in their life to find themselves in a situation, or in front of a scene, wanting at all costs to photograph it but not finding the right moment or, more simply, not being ready. We can say that Costanza Musto, however, is always ready to impress on film those details that capture our attention.
Born in 1990, Costanza was born in Rome and, after attending the Faculty of Languages, in 2017 she enrolled in Officine Fotografiche’s two-year master course. Today as a backstage photographer at Rai, as a set photographer for theater companies and photographer for short films and music videos.
We were particularly fascinated by the work she shares on her Instagram profile: with her analog camera, Costanza Musto sneaks into the lives of others and shows us stolen moments.
It is as if, thanks to her and her gaze, we follow the subjects of the photographs in their intimate moments, or simply those in which they think they are not seen by anyone. In addition, the use of analogue gives a documentary feel to the images that further arouses the viewer’s curiosity.
We have selected just a few shots of Costanza Musto, but to find out more follow her on Instagram.
