The modular construction industry is booming worldwide and could save $22 billion a year, as it produces up to 80% less waste than traditional construction. Developed mainly due to soaring land and property prices, modular construction has reached the hotel industry. In fact, these types of buildings ensure that the high quality meets the specific standards set by investors, saving time and money and maintaining control over the traditional construction process.

The Modular AC Hotel Nomad has 26 floors, over 100,000 square meters in size, and is currently under construction. Located next to the Empire State Building, guests will enjoy a sweeping view of the New York skyline. The hotel, therefore, combines luxury with functionality and energy-saving, making it an environmentally friendly hotel. The plan has been studied in an angled but at the same time hyper-symmetrical way as it takes advantage of all the efficiencies that can be obtained by building the structure in a factory. The design still allows varying with different types of rooms such as King, Queen, Junior Suites and Deluxe Suites. Although it is a modular hotel, there is everything guests need inside.
