Ege Islekel brings a nostalgic past to the present day

Born in Turkey and moved to Italy after his studies, Ege Islekel was struck by the fascinating beauty of art that our country hides in every street, church, village, and city. So, in addition to being an interior designer, Ege enjoys reviving the perfection of classical and Renaissance works, but merging them with our present and with everything that characterizes our days.

The characters of the frescoes and paintings leave the frames and walls to visit the metropolis, to bask in today’s problems and to join the large community of social networks, from Instagram to Facebook.

The result surprises and turns up the nose. Looking at a self-portrait of Van Gogh that photographs us makes us lose all the poetry to one of the most beautiful works of art ever made, but it represents our society to perfection.
