Discovering the surreal portraits by Erika Zolli

Self-portraits with surreal atmospheres that tell stories and transport us to worlds made of flowers, colours and above all looks. They are those of Erika Zolli, a photographer specializing in fine art and creative photography.

Through her photographs, Erika Zolli has always accompanied us on our discovery of worlds different from our own, far removed from everyday reality, encouraging us to reflect on ourselves. But in addition to photographing others, Erika is a specialist in the art of self-portraiture. In particular, hers are characterized by something dreamlike: her body becomes almost a prop, dialoguing with the other elements, creating an impossible balance. Looking at his shots you will naturally hold your breath, breathing as gently as possible. You don’t want to ruin that floral composition or blow away that cloud that envelops her face.

But as well as making us dream with her self-portraits, Erika Zolli reveals some of her techniques in workshops she holds both in Italy and Spain.

The next one will be held on 24 April in the beautiful setting of Villa Voliera Reale in Ternate (Varese). Here, amidst the interior rooms and the park, participants in the workshop will be able to spend an entire day experimenting and shooting, with the aim of creating the perfect self-portrait, just like Erika’s.

“The self-portrait is therefore a real deep dialogue with oneself, guided by the intuition of the photographer. This workshop will show the basic steps to design and create meaningful images with a strong visual impact.”

Registration for the workshop is still open, go to Erika Zolli’s website to find out all the information and to register!
